Oulsnam Design Ltd was established in 1977 and has provided Architectural and Interior Design services mainly within the hospitality sector including supply of FF&E and fit out installations.
Breweries / Pub Companies
Working with a number of Breweries on pubs, bars and hotel concepts we established a strong reputation within the industry. Our major works was the design and branding of “Chef & Brewer” for Scottish and Newcastle, carrying out up to 120 projects throughout the UK. The success of the brand was instant and the Chairman and Directors appointed Oulsnam Design as lead designers to roll out the Chef & Brewers throughout the UK. The brand was designed into various styles of buildings some of which were listed. We also designed a complete new build version alongside a Premier Lodge which also expanded over a number of sites. In some cases this involved refurbishing hotel rooms in such sites as The George in Spaldwick and The Wheatsheaf in Virginia Water.
Following the extensive work on Chef & Brewer, we were appointed by S&N and Whitbreads to design Gastro Pub brands and roll out the projects, where outdated brands had failed. Working with food development Chefs and other specialist consultants.
Hotels & Restaurants
Hotels have always been an established part of the design business, working throughout the UK and abroad.
Opening offices in Ixan, China and Marbella, Spain was an exciting stage of the business working alongside major hotel groups such as Starwood. This involved introducing sites and providing masterplans as part of multi-use developments in ski resorts, beach resorts and city centres.
The UK work has been with independent boutique hotel owners and groups with expanding brands within Marriott, IHG and Whitbreads.
